Tracking
This is the core of what we do. Full band live off the floor, layered overdubs, drum days, string dates — Studio A handles all of it. Every tracking session comes with an engineer who knows the room, a mic locker that's embarrassing for a studio our size, and backline (drums, amps, keys) so you don't have to load in your whole rehearsal space.
We run Pro Tools HDX as standard. If you want to cut to the 2" tape machine, that's a conversation and a small materials fee — but yes, it still runs, and yes, drums sound absurd on it.
Mixing
Mix with us attended in Studio B, or send sessions remotely from anywhere. We take stems or full sessions (Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton — we've untangled worse). Every mix includes two rounds of revisions, and we're upfront when we think a note is a bad idea. You'd be surprised how rare that is in this business.

Mastering
Mastering happens in Studio B on the same monitoring the room was tuned around. We master for streaming loudness targets without flattening the record — if you want it louder than that, we'll do it, but we'll make you say it out loud first.

Vocal Production
Dedicated vocal days in The Den or Studio B. Comping, tuning (tasteful by default, surgical on request, none at all if you're that kind of singer — respect), doubles, harmony arrangement. Some of our favorite sessions are just a singer, an engineer, and six hours.
Voiceover & Podcast
The Den runs a broadcast VO chain and same-day edit turnaround. We do regular work for agencies, audiobook narrators, and about a dozen Austin podcasts. Hourly or retainer — retainer clients get priority scheduling.
Session Musicians
Fifteen years in Austin means our phone book is deep. Pedal steel, horns, strings, that one guy who owns a hurdy-gurdy — tell us what the song needs and we'll get someone in the room who plays it for a living. Players are paid direct at standard Austin session rates; we just make the call.
